Our last day in the dessert

Today we once again took the opportunity to do as little as possible, lazed around the pool and deck and took advantage of the cool air conditioning of the house. Talk about living in the dessert in luxury!

Later Doug kindly took us all out for a final meal in Phoenix. We chose to eat at the Cheese Cake Factory, which is a really big restaurant that… makes Cheese Cake (funnily enough). Respect goes out to anyone that can polish off a meal in this place and then eat cake, because these were easily the largest potions I have ever seen in a restaurant. We managed to eat about a third of our meals then headed out for a few drinks with Amber and Courtney.

There was another huge thunderstorm in Phoenix in the evening which was really impressive, and yes, more rain. It seems to be following us Scottish boys around like a bad smell (just for the record: we don’t smell).

Thanks to Doug, Suzanne, Courtney and Amber for putting up with us lads for a few days and making our stay in the Dessert very hospitable. We’ll see you guys next time you’re in Scotland!
