Today we pretty much lazed around and did nothing, which was great! We’ve been going non stop since we arrived in the States so it was good to relax for a change. We sat in the pool and around the deck most of the day and strolled around the golf course. The landscape is pretty spectacular where we’re staying and the greenery of the golf course attracts quite a lot of wildlife, although we’ve no idea what most of it is.
Doug and Suzanne arrived home from Las Vegas today (they were on holiday) and gave us all a warm welcome. After a relaxing day we were ready to hit the bar and get one or twenty beers down our necks. The venue for the night was a small, ranch like bar called Greasewood Flats. When we arrived there was a guy (called Bob) singing country music and a load of people sitting around on benches watching. Some of them had clearly been there all day as they were totally trashed! The place was full of drunken cowboys making us feel like we were in some sort of warped western.
We soon gathered a crowd of locals willing to have a laugh and get steemin and had a go at Horse Shoe throwing, which I have to say we pretty much sucked at!
